So a couple of top tens just to get last year completely off my chest:
Top Ten Gigs:
1. Pohoda Festival, Slovakia -
This one was a completely unexpected last minute booking but turned out to be the most fun DJ set of the year only spoilt by a tired sound engineer who wouldn’t let me play one last track much to the crowds disappointment!
2. Wu Tang, Prague -
8000 people totally captive audience, all singing all cheering… no booing
3. The Breaks, Gottingen -
My first slice of German clubbing alongside Kid Fresh great party and great crowd.
4. Garage Underground, Chelyabinsk -
This was as much about the whole experience as the party itself, Russia was mind blowing, can’t wait to go back!
5. Mad Lifted, Aachen -
It was all about Germany in 2007 and Mad Lifted organized by the brilliant Sticky Dojah was a truly fun night one of those that you remember as a party as a whole than just a DJ set.
6. Partizanske, Slovakia -
Not really my own gig but alongside Emdee this was way back in January but it left it mark on me, not the busiest party ever but one of the livest.
7. What The Funk?, Prague -
A lot of our own blood sweat and tears when into this one so it had to get an inclusion…
8. Necro, Prague -
Another full house, probably my best gig on a Monday of all time, even better that the “urban dance” contest I DJ’d for at the opening of the Apple Store in 2005!
9. Solid Steel, Prague -
Hard not to include a Radost Solid Steel party in here, specially as it looks unlikely that they’ll happen again.
10. Semtex, Brno -
The last festival of the year, wasn’t holding out much for a set in the Tic Tac tent but despite the constant requests for Timberland even after I had played three of his tracks it turned out to be quite cool!
