Ok so we’ve been talking about it for a longtime now, since starting our blog we have discovered so many great artists who have gone on to be huge, which always left us thinking “why didn’t we put that out?”, so with our club night bubbling away smoothly and seeing some of our favorite labels switch to only digital releases now seems like the right time to launch the Meanbucket label!
Recently I posted a track on my facebook page and after saying I’d be interested in hearing some remixes the response has been PHENOMENAL so much so that we thought we’d do a remix contest and put the winner/winners and the original out with the original as our first release!
Rules are simple:
1. Down load the “loop pack” here
2. Remix it, fuck it up, whatever
3. Upload to Soundcloud with “Disco Kicks Remix” somewhere in the title then send the link to meanbucket@gmail.com

Bit baffled by the choice of samples for download. Can we not have both vocal parts in isolation? And also the strings?
Nice little groove on the original but a really limiting sample pack is putting me off. A whole new world of creativity is just a few vocal samples away – please
